Marco della Cava covers technology for USA TODAY from the media network’s San Francisco Bureau, focusing on self-driving cars, AR/VR and the burgeoning Internet of Things. He has been with the SF bureau since 2000, and prior to that served as USA TODAY’s London-based European correspondent for four years, covering wars, soccer tournaments, business mergers and film festivals. Before that he covered the entertainment world from the outlet’s Los Angeles bureau, after starting out at its headquarters in Virginia as a general assignment feature writer. Della Cava is the recipient of a number of journalism awards and was appointed as a Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan.
